AI news monitoring for clients, suppliers and markets
Keeping track of news about hundreds of clients or suppliers by hand doesn't work. I build monitoring that reads the news every night and only shows your team what needs attention.
Tell me about your projectThe problem
An insolvency, a takeover or a serious incident at a client can matter a lot, but the signal is buried in thousands of articles a day. Searching by hand takes hours, and something always gets missed.
Keyword alerts don't solve it. Company names are ambiguous, articles use a trade name or the founder's name, and routine news floods the inbox.
How I approach it
Collect the sources
News sites, regional media, official publications and other public sources, collected on a schedule.
Match to your list
Each article is matched to your clients or suppliers, also when it mentions a trade name, a town or a person instead of the registered name.
Classify the event
Insolvency, takeover, management change, legal trouble: you decide which events matter and how urgent they are.
Deliver a short list
One overview each morning, or an alert straight to the right account manager for urgent items.
What to watch out for
- Matching is the hard part. Measure false matches and misses on real examples before you rely on it.
- Check the terms of the news sources you use, and prefer official feeds where they exist.
- With too many alerts, people stop reading. Start strict and widen later.
Projects like this
Automatic news checks for every client
Staff used to search the news for each client by hand. Now a scheduled job collects articles every night, matches them to the client list and classifies them. In the morning, the team sees only what matters, such as an insolvency.
- Every night, the job pulls in articles from many news sources.
- It flags insolvencies and other important events and filters out routine news.
- The team now reads one short list each morning instead of searching for hours.

Lead enrichment and lead scores
The sales team spent hours every morning researching companies before they knew who to call. Now the platform collects public data on each company, a language model researches it on the web, and every lead gets a score and a short brief with sources.
- Connectors to business registers, insolvency records, public procurement data and news.
- A background queue enriches and scores new leads automatically.
- The team reviews each brief and sends the approved leads to the CRM.

Which sources can you monitor?
Public news sites, RSS feeds, official registers and publications, and other public web pages. Paid news databases can be connected if you have access.
How quickly do alerts come in?
A nightly run is usually enough. Sources for urgent events can be checked more often.
Does it work in other languages?
Yes. Language models handle Dutch, English, German and many other languages well.
